Raw vegan donuts

Eating raw and living foods does not mean only sprouting and juicing. These donuts are 100% raw, refined sugar and gluten free, yet they are filled with vital nutrients and taste beyond divine.



When it comes to food, for me the most important thing is its nutrient density and of course taste. Nutritional value directly influences our energy levels. The more energy we have, the more we can focus, the more we can create and the more we can move! That is the purpose of the fuel. That is the purpose of life. Oh, and of course the flavor.. it has to make us super happy. So, these raw babies perfectly match all the criteria mentioned before!

These raw vegan treats are beyond easy and quick to prepare, as well as they are budget friendly. Original version I created requires only two basic ingredients plus toppings of your choice.

Ingredients (all organic):

For the dough:
2 bananas
1,5 cups raw rolled oats
a splash of water or raw almond milk (optional)
1/2 ts cinnamon (optional)

For the icing:
2 TBS Raw cacao butter
2 TBS coconut oil
Freeze dried raspberry powder
1 TBS healthy sweetener of your choice
1 TBS raw cacao powder

Instructions:

Blend 2 bananas, cinnamon and 1 cup oats until perfectly smooth. Add remaining oats and mix well.
Pour into molds, freeze overnight.

For the white raspberry chocolate icing: gently melt cacao butter without heating (using a water bath) - so that all the nutrients stay alive. Add coconut oil, sweetener and raspberry powder. Mix all together. Double dunk the donuts. Meanwhile prepare the dark chocolate icing by adding cacao powder to the existing icing. Gently pour over. Top with berries.
